Beloved friends and family,
This week, Elder Funk and I finally got through with the crazy idea to put on a concert here in Bangui. We met with the Municipal Administrator, printed out advertisements, and prepared handouts, all while spending nine hours a day doing missionary work. It was pretty crazy, but we got it all done and sang our hearts out in the “Best Public Park in Ilocos Norte.” The fountains were going, the lights were on, and we got to share with everyone there about the blessings they can get from the gospel.
In addition, we spent a ton of time finding new people, and we were able to meet a ton of receptive new people. It’s so awesome how many people want the happiness and the knowledge that the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ can bring into our lives.
Elder Funk and I have high hopes for next week. We don’t know if we’ll be together another cycle, but we are going to do our best to leave Bangui Branch better than we found it.
