This week Sister Mata graduated her training, so our district celebrated at district council.
On Wednesday, we worked with Brother Cura and Brother Malapit. They know basically everyone in one barangay in our area, so we met their many relatives. Then my companion, Elder Mamauag, cooked us pinakbet for lunch.
On Thursday, we woke up at 3am and my companion went to the hospital in extreme pain. We proceeded to spend the next three days in the hospital, finally getting back to our area Saturday night.
On Sunday, three sisters came to church, and we have the highest hopes for their future progress.
This week I learned a lot about the benefits of taking action. I always knew faith was a principle of action, but I didn’t really realize that meant I needed to act while my faith was still being tried. This week, I tried my best to go and take action, even if I was uncertain or worried. Every time the benefits were immediate and good. Sometimes we may get judged for our actions, but in the end, the person who acts comes out ahead of the person who just judges.
I’ll send more pictures next week.
My companion is getting transferred, and I’m going to have an American companion again.
Thanks for all the support,
Elder Tripp
