This week we got to have the happy experience of interviews with the mission president. It looks like things are gonna be okay! I always feel more inspired and invigorated after interviews.
We also got to eat lots of food. Multiple branch members in our area had birthdays this week, so we got to eat well. So well. The branch president made tacos. Real tacos. I’m so happy and so very, very full.

In terms of missionary work, no one went to church this Sunday because we had Stake Conference in Paoay and our one “sure” investigator’s father got sick.
On the other hand, I’ve been able to have the joyful experience of being senior companion…which has been pretty meaningless in terms of actual day-to-day living. After leading areas, being senior companion essentially just feels like an extra level of “your companion is newer than you, so will generally accept anything you say as the truth. He also expects more of you because of experience and you feel pushed a lot harder to be a good example.” So it’s just like every other companionship I’ve ever had after training, just slightly harder.

I really enjoy meeting people who will actually talk with us. Even if they just take the opportunity to share their own personal religious beliefs (which many do), it’s better than people who go completely silent when you start asking questions.

I’d appreciate prayers on behalf of Sister Alexandra Morales.
Thanks and love,
Elder Tripp
