Hello friends and family,
This was the first week that Elder Denton and I were together, so, of course, I took many pictures. But this computer won’t let me upload them. Shame on him.
Otherwise, I’m still alive. I feel the Holy Spirit testify everyday. I read scripture. I preach repentance. I walk a lot.
This week, we experienced a cool coincidence. The missionaries in Santa Ana, being mga masisipag, ended up meeting someone from our area. The story goes she already had a Book of Mormon, and she was reading it, so she wanted to be taught by the missionaries. Elder Denton and I ended trying to find her when the elders told us about her. We eventually found her husband. But, surprise, surprise, I had already met her husband a couple weeks before. He had spoken to us, while slightly drunk, in a waiting shed, and we had taught a short lesson. Of course, we didn’t go back to him, because we don’t really go back to drunk people, but then we met him again, and we arranged for a return appointment with him and his wife. It’s looking to be really good to teach him.
The title of this email is an Ilokano phrase which means “Good morning!” Or at least that’s what some jokers would like you to believe. Tune in next week for what it actually means.
That’s all for this week. Thanks for your prayers and emails.
I love you all.
Elder Tripp
