Week 42 - The Week To Life, Universe, and Everything

Naimbag nga aldaw, kadakayo nga amin, (Good day to you all)

I’m alive!

This week was full of week and also missionary work.

On Monday last, we got really masipag and worked on preparation day. We were able to go out and find four new investigators! It was loads of fun as one person we met showed us the “shortcut” to get from their house to the road, and it was pretty much sneaking through the middle of the rice fields and following sketchy dirt paths through a forest.

On Tuesday, at our district meeting, our district leader trained us on how to be better at discerning investigators' concerns. It was a great training about asking questions, listening carefully, and then sharing appropriately.

On Wednesday, nothing exciting happened. We walked home 4 kilometers in the rain, though.

On Thursday, I had exchanges with our soon to depart Zone Leader, Elder Cook. He’s from California and goes home in one week.

On Friday, we got haircuts. Now I’m super pogi (charot). And we ended up eating lots of delicious food.

On Saturday, we helped out with a youth activity. The youth in our area don’t really have any leaders, so they organized the activity on their own. We made sure that the people in the barangay closest to our house actually went, and then we got to eat the food they made. It was super delicious! Then we got to meet again with a sister Ibia who is strong in her faith in Jesus Christ.

On Sunday, we had nine investigators at church. Then we went out and worked our butts off to walk to all our appointments. It was a good day.

Thank you all for reading. I hope that you all grow in your own ways this week.

Love you all,

Elder Tripp
